inaugurate

today's been something of an emotional rollercoaster. we're celebrating the inauguration with joy. we're grieving with some close friends who miscarried last night. i'm crying a lot today, alternately moved by our nation's beautiful act of electing the first black president and feeling my friend's loss. the two events don't really belong together in the same blog post but they coincided and are filling my thoughts.
